Sublist
Product Development | UI UX Design | Branding | Marketing
The idea for Sublist started with a simple frustration: finding subleases as a student often meant endlessly scrolling through scattered Facebook groups. My friends and I wanted to create a better way.
Sublist was born as a platform to help students find and list subleases more easily.
I worked on building the visual identity of the brand—designing the logo, mascot, website visuals, and marketing materials to create a platform that feels approachable, easy to use, and student-friendly.
As the only designer on the team, I led all aspects of Sublist’s visual identity.
I developed the logo, mascot, illustrations, color palette, typography, and brand style, creating a cohesive visual language for the platform.
I also designed marketing assets for social media and print, ensuring that the brand’s look and feel was consistent across every touchpoint.
To reach students more directly, I designed small flyers with QR codes to stick on cars around campus. Experimenting with RISO printing in multiple color combinations, I printed hundreds of flyers and placed them strategically across USC. It was a fun, hands-on way to combine creativity with outreach.
The campaign helped raise awareness of the platform and drove engagement with the website. After distributing the car flyers, our website traffic jumped to 22,000 views, showing how strategic, creative design can generate measurable results.
